For the first time in GSU history, two of our teams have qualified for the elimination rounds at the CEDA Nationals tournament. The team of Chris Pozzi and Kevin Bottoms won five of their eight preliminary debates, qualifying for the elimination debates as the #47 seed. They lost in the triple-octafinals to a team from Wake Forest. The team of Joel Lemuel and Kirk Gibson won seven of their eight preliminary debates (a school record), qualifying for the elims as the #5 seed. They lost in the octafinal round to a team from Whitman.
Joel Lemuel won the 11th place speaker award (out of more than 300 debaters).
